We are currently working with an Industrial Machinery & Equipment Manufacturer in your area looking to fill the position of Controls Engineer. The ideal
skilled and experienced candidate will be responsible for designing, building, and maintaining electrical control panels and integrating automation systems in processing facilities.
RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES:
Read and interpret electrical schematics and blueprints
Design and construct electrical control panels according to specifications
Collaborate with engineering teams on panel design and layout
Perform quality checks to ensure the functionality and efficiency of all panels
Troubleshoot and repair existing control systems
Develop and maintain detailed project schedules
Prepare cost estimates and timelines for projects
Write electrical specifications and create single-line diagrams
QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS:
Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field
5+ years of experience in electrical control panel design and construction
Proficiency in PLC programming, HMI, and SCADA systems
Knowledge of electrical design and safety standards (IEC, IEEE, NEMA, CE)
Experience with AutoCAD or similar design software
Wage range is $42-48/hour (plus OT) DOE
This position is on-site.
